LAND ART

Fredericia, Denmark 2021

Working together with Flor Lysgaard.

Interpreting ‘biodiversity’ we decided to work against the theme by showing human illusion of separateness and our violence towards our home, co-inhabitants and ourselves. Using old pine trees grown in monoculture and killed by ritual, we spiked them up with thorns, branches, invasive seeds and a deserted birds nest. We carved out trails of emptiness behind them, leaving habitats barren and lifeless, also reminiscing agriculture in shape and violence in the name of monoculture, climate disaster and 6th mass extinction.

Grindelwald, Switzerland 2014

This more then 10 meters long all botanical work I created together with Erik Svang in the valley of Grindelwald. Working on top of a faller tree (that was still alive), the work was abruptly cut of by the roadto leave a thought of howwe actually treat nature to please ourselves.
